Finnelo Saunas have deep roots extending back to 1919 in Vyborg, Finland. One of the parent companies, Helo introduced the first electric sauna heater in 1949 and In the 1960’s, the company moved to its current location in Hanko, Finland. The company continued to grow and expand to include Finnleo which brought innovative sauna room designs, full coverage infrared technology and a heat storing heater. Finnleo continues to innovate, bringing quality saunas to market as part of the largest sauna and steam bath company in the world.

Finnish saunas are typically wood lined rooms with single heaters filled with rocks over which water may be ladled. Today’s version f a traditional sauna includes smart app sauna controls connected to sauna heaters. Traditional wood burning heaters are also available.

Steam rooms are heated to a temperature between 110° and 114° F with 100% humidity by water-filled generators. The rooms must be built to be waterproof and have a floor drain for condensed vapor.
